OSHA 501 Trainer Course for General Industry and the Prerequisite OSHA 511

FOR NEW JERSEY SCHOOL PERSONNEL ONLY

These courses may be taken by New Jersey vocational-technical education school teachers or school administrators who want to be able to teach their students or other school personnel the OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour General Industry Outreach Course and issue OSHA Cards. To become an OSHA authorized trainer, a person must complete eight days of training and have five years of related experience in occupational safety and health. Please take the OSHA 511 course before you take the OSHA 501. The New Jersey Department of Education, Office of Vocational-Technical, Career and Innovative Programs also expects those individuals who complete the training to help with instructing OSHA 10-hour courses to other teachers and administrators in the state. Please contact Laura Hemminger by phone or email (contact information below) for scheduling information and availability.
